A brief discription of your accident, your road to recovery and where you are today.
In March 2011 there was a break in on the 2nd floor of my apartment and during an altercation, I fell 3 stories (9 meters) and broke my back in both the lumbar and thoracic spine. All my ribs on my right side, broke both my legs, damaged and lost a kidney and punctured a lung.
I was critical for 10 days and had emergency leg surgery to insert pins and rods and was put on a ventilator as my lung collapsed. I was in a coma for 1 month and when I woke I had spinal fusion surgery and was in ICU for 45 days.
It was the most horrific experience of my life and when I woke they said I would never walk again. I prayed and felt a Heavenly Grace.
4 weeks later I sat up, 6 weeks later I stood, 8 weeks later I walked not well but it was a miracle. I never held and grudges towards my attackers or anger from my fall. I felt so blessed to be alive and breathing. I felt a Higher Being was in control of my life and that i was saved for a reason.
I changed my life I began giving back by getting involved in charity work with children's homes (House of Grace).
While working with the needy I felt my recovery improving.
I was told I could never train with weights again because of my body's breaks. The positive healing and love that I felt from my family and friends got me back into the gym. First step was rehab training. I felt alive and the fire within my heart grew.
My recovery was miraculous and 2 years later I was able to return to weight training and then to the profession I loved: Personal Training.
That's was 2 years ago and it's been 4 years since my fall. I am now fully booked and one of the best personal trainers in the country.
I am now a motivational speaker and lifestyle coach. I am healthy, happy, in the best shape of my life and incredibly grateful to be sponsored by such an incredible company ProSupps.
My dream is to inspire and motivate others to lead a healthy, happy lifestyle and to be in the zone 24/7/365.
